Cultivate Music Studio is a growing music lesson studio in the heart of the Cultural District in McKinney, TX with a passion for mentoring students and cultivating a love of music in our community.
The vision for a music lesson studio began way back in 2012, but really began coming to life in 2019. Owners Nathan and Brittany Otwell stepped away from a full-time ministry worship position at a church and followed the vision God had given them for a different way to minister and create. Since they began in June 2019 with 12 guitar students, Cultivate has grown to over 150 students and 10 teachers in a beautiful studio space in Historic Downtown McKinney. In August of 2021 they opened a second location inside Brookhaven Church in west McKinney.
Cultivate’s teachers are a tight-knit group of like minded musicians who value mentorship, excellence and resourcing those with a desire to learn. They are local worship leaders, studio and gigging musicians and school teachers who set aside part of their week for teaching music lessons.
