Emily Pope - Voice, Piano
Emily has studied classical voice and piano for over 15 years and holds voice degrees from The University of Oklahoma and Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins. She has devoted her life to music, performing in a wide range of styles including musical theatre, worship, pop, and opera. Whether on the stage or at the piano, Emily brings both artistry and versatility to her work. Outside of music, she enjoys reading, art, and spending time with family. As a teacher, Emily’s goal is to share her passion and love for music while helping students grow through technique, creativity, and fun.
Micah Wolff - Drums and Bass Guitar
Micah has been playing drums for 16 years at churches and conferences all across the DFW metroplex and has been teaching for the past few years. His approach includes by-the-book exercises, reading formal drum music notation and rudiments as well as active listening and playing by ear. Micah loves playing melodic rock and pop styles for church worship but has also delved into punk, hip hop and metal for fun! Micah teaches beginner-intermediate students.
Amanda Ivancik - Voice
Amanda is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with 20 years of experience as a musician, and 10 years as a voice educator. Her background includes formal training in voice, percussion, and piano, along with academic studies in music pedagogy, theory, and aural skills. Through school she mostly trained in classical voice, but has since applied those skills to genres such as contemporary, jazz, pop, and theater. She is passionate about helping students develop a foundational understanding of sustainable techniques, building confidence through strength, precision, and injury-preventative habits. Amanda teaches all ages and levels.
Nathaniel Abraham - Piano and Acoustic Guitar
Nathaniel graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Interdisciplinary Music from Berklee College of Music. Since 2010 he has worked as performer, accompanist and multi-instrumentalist with a variety of bands and in churches. He currently serves as a keys player and a music director at Lakepointe Church. Nathaniel teaches piano for all ages and styles, specializing in classical, pop, jazz and worship. He teaches acoustic guitar specializing in beginner reading, worship and pop.
Sam Frazier - Piano
Sam has been playing piano for 12 years. His love for music started from watching his legendary church pianist from the pews as a young kid. Since then, he has played everything from jazz to country to classical. Sam gigs regularly with several local country bands while teaching three days a week at Cultivate and taking classes at Collin County Community College. He loves to teach and share his love for music with students of all ages and skill levels. Sam teaches all levels and styles and specializes in blues, country and pop.
Megan Abraham - Piano
Megan graduated with an Associates in Piano Performance from Collin College in 2022. She loves sharing the joy of music with students through many genres including worship, classical, modern, and movie scores. She has a passion for music theory and loves seeing her students grow in their confidence as a musician. Meg teaches all ages, levels and styles.
Madelyn Graham - Piano
Madelyn has studied classical and pop style piano for 12 years with legendary local teacher Mae Morton. Music has always been a central part of her life from an early age. Though she is classically trained, she loves the creative expression of improvisation, playing in her worship band at church and songwriting. As a teacher, her focus is to help her students, especially kids learn to love making music and grow in confidence as musicians and as people. Madelyn specializes in young beginner students.
Josiah Garza - Guitar and Ukulele
Josiah picked up the guitar at 8 years old and never looked back. He currently plays guitar and serves as a music director at Church Eleven32 as well as several others in DFW. He also enjoys exploring various styles such as jazz, blues and rock. As a teacher, Josiah customizes his lessons to each student’s needs and interests while helping them build a solid foundation of good technique and music theory. He holds a an associate degree in general studies and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in leadership. Josiah teaches all levels, ages and styles and is equally competent on acoustic and electric guitar.
Emmalee Webb - Voice
Emmalee Webb received her degree in Musical Arts with an Emphasis in Worship Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University. She has taught guitar, voice and piano lessons at The Guitar Sanctuary Performance Academy and served on staff at local churches while leading in worship capacities for over 8 years. Emmalee has recorded professional demos and original music and has led worship at camps, conferences and churches across the United States. She teaches voice at Cultivate for all ages and levels.
Jennie Samuell - Voice
Jennie grew up in a musical family and began formal training with legendary vocal coach Linda Septien in 2005. She soon began writing songs, recording her music and touring with her band throughout Texas. She now lives in McKinney with her husband and four kids and runs a media company in addition to leading worship at her church. Jennie teaches all levels and styles with a specialization in musical theater, singer-songwriter pop and soul/jazz styles.
Ryan Pool - Piano
Ryan has been playing, touring and recording piano professionally for the past 15 years. His background is classical but his skill set includes such diverse styles as jazz, blues, country and praise and worship. His most recent work includes playing keys for Christian artists Shane and Shane (Worship Initiative) and producing an album for The Village Church (In His Presence: Melodies of Truth). Ryan works with students of all ages and skill levels with a specialization in improvisation, jazz, blues, pop and midi/digital music production.
Geoffrey Ashcraft - Guitar and Bass
Geoffrey has been a full-time musician for over 17 years, touring the US, Canada, & UK, recording guitar, bass, drums, and keys for various artists, as well as writing & producing. He has served at several churches and currently leads worship at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, TX. He is excited to bring his experience and passion for sharing music with students to Cultivate. Geoff teaches all levels and styles with a specialization in intermediate-advance pop, rock and country electric guitar techniques.
Nathan Otwell - Guitar
Nathan Otwell has been teaching guitar for 18 years. He serves most weekends as a worship leader at various churches in the DFW metroplex. In 2019 he and his wife founded Cultivate Music Studio to serve the community with music lessons. Nathan teaches intermediate-advanced styles with a specialization in advanced finger picking and classical techniques.
